Toronto: Ryerson Press, 1929.
1st edition, limited (1/250) numbered and signed, boards with printed label. The present copy is designated as copy "2" and inscribed by the author to her children. The inscription reads: "To Edith & Sydney from Mother - / - and father - / - Annie Charlotte Dalton" in black fountain pen ink on the colophon page. Though rather popular and prolific in the first half of the 20th century, her shorter poems quite reminiscent of Emily Dickinson, Dalton has fallen into unfair obscurity. Minor corrections to the text of poems by author on pages 24, 25, 26, 37, 38, 43, 48, 50, 73, 78, 87, 96. The boards are rubbed at corners, with overall shelf wear, internally fine. A nice association copy. Item #6785
