1st edition, full navy blue cloth, w/decorated dj. An inscribed association copy to Rukeyser's close friend and fellow poet, Jane Cooper. The inscription reads: "for Jane with love / and delight and expectancy of / The Weather of Six Mornings -- / Muriel / 1968" in black ink on the FEP. The inscription refers to Cooper's forthcoming first book, which won the Lamont Poetry Selection (in manuscript) of the Academy of American Poets for 1968. The judges were Hayden Carruth, Donald Hall, Donald Justice, William Stafford, and James Wright. A fine copy, with only moderate wear to jacket along edges. Item #6639
