1st edition, limited (1/150) numbered and signed, cloth spine, patterned boards, with out dust jacket (as issued). Illustrated with wood engravings by John DePol, who also designed the patterned boards for the covers. The text is divided into three sections, including a prose piece, followed by fifteen individual poems. Designed and printed by Barnard Taylor, with hand-set Spectrum type by Juanita Bishop, and hand-binding by Don and Pam Rash. The colophon page is signed by both Berry and Taylor, and designated as number 58. The following year a trade edition was published by North Point Press. One of Berry's most monumental collections, and quite scarce in the original Appletree Alley edition. Additionally housed in a custom archival box made of fine linen and leather spine.
